Course benefits
This course provides IT staff a thorough introduction to the AIX operating system, and provides a solid foundation for follow-on courses, including AIX system administration.

The course incorporates extensive hands-on practical sessions, providing delegates with practical skills which include the ability to use AIX commands, the vi editor, TCP/IP utilities and the ability to manipulate files and directories.

Who should attend?
System support staff who are new to AIX and UNIX.

AIX users intending to progress on to course AU223: AIX Shell Programming and Utilities.

All users of AIX systems who believe they would benefit from a grounding in basic AIX commands and utilities.

Pre-requisites
Delegates must have prior experience of a command-line operating system such as MS-DOS.
