Ekahau Mobile Survey Ekahau Mobile Survey is the first Enterprise-grade Wi-Fi network analysis application for Android mobile phones and tablets.

Ekahau Mobile Survey provides analysis on Wi-Fi coverage and connectivity details in an easy-to-access graphical form.

Ekahau Mobile Survey can display Wi-Fi network infrastructure layout and its current condition, overlaid on a graphical map*.

Ekahau Mobile Survey can also perform automated background monitoringof a Wi-Fi network, alerting you if and when a network failure occurs.

Network Status shows whether your network supports your requirements, such as voice over Wi-Fi, location tracking, or just e-mail. It also provides real-time details about the connectivity and performance:

  • Signal strength
  • Data rate
  • Packet loss
  • Packet Delay
  • Nearest rogue (non-friendly) AP signal strength
  • SSID and associated AP MAC
Ekahau Mobile Survey The Network Details view provides additional information about your current Wi-Fi network connection, such as:
  • MAC address of your device and the associated AP
  • SSID, association state, security setting, channel of the associated AP
  • IP settings, such as my IP, gateway IP, DNS servers, etc.
Map View provides an overview of the network infrastructure layout, showing in real time which APs are audible, which AP you're associated with, and which APs do not appear to be functioning correctly.

Access Point List displays the audible access points, including those that are not a part of your network. The list shows:
  • MAC, SSID

  • Associated AP shown with green color
Ekahau Mobile Survey Background Monitoring allows you to leave Ekahau Mobile Survey monitoring your network as your go about your daily tasks. In Background monitoring mode, Ekahau Mobile Survey wakes up at predefined intervals to run tests to check that the network is operating correctly.
  • Compares the current readings against predefined requirements, such as voice over WLAN, basic data connectivity, or RTLS
  • Provides audible and vibration alarms if network fails
  • Stores errors into a log
  • Adjustable monitoring interval
