Why this Convergence course?
This course is focussed on the ongoing evolution towards a single network service delivering services and content to both fixed and mobile users. There is an ongoing strong move in both fixed and mobile networks towards using the Internet Protocol (IP) for all voice and data, offering a route to converged networks. The NGN - Next Generation Networks, of which BTs 21CN (21st Century Network) is a good example, is the Fixed Network approach but that must integrate with the approach for mobile networks.

Convergence Course Pre-requisites
The course assumes no prior knowledge of telecommunications. There is no maths or RF (Radio Frequency) in the course.
