Why this TETRA Planning course?
This is a two day course that is focussed on carrying out RF and capacity planning for TETRA-based networks.
The course presents a methodology for creating a greenfield network starting with a flat earth approximation. As the first point in any major investment is the initial business plan, there must be a fusion of technical specification parameters with budgets. Having passed this point, more detailed planning can take place, based on a planning tool, propagation models, drive testing, etc.
TETRA Planning Training Course Objectives
On completing this course, you will be able to:
- Understand the goals of Radio Planning
- Refresh RF knowledge
- Receive an effective flat-earth strategy for initial estimating
- Be able to estimate TETRA capacity and the effect of DMO
- Appreciate the factors that TETRA network viability is sensitive to
- Gain knowledge of RF tools in general and one tool in particular.
Who should attend this TETRA Planning course
- Staff in organisations who need to understand, plan and dimension TETRA Networks
- Planners for scheduling and managing the process
As TETRA networks are owned an operated by a variety of organisation types worldwide, including public safety, oil/gas and military, the range of delegates, Gates for whom this course is suited is wide.
TETRA Planning Course Pre-requisites
This course assumes delegates have attended a TETRA introductory course or are
otherwise familiar with the principles of TETRA. The Radio Planning Appreciation Course would also be valuable.
Hands-on Practicals
Delegates will be given an evaluation copy of a well-known RF planning tool and an example will be worked through during the course.
Lifetime Post-Course Support
After completing this
TETRA Planning training course, delegates receive
lifetime post-training support from LEVER Technology Group PLC, to help them apply the technologies and skills they have learned with us, to provide career-long support, and to ensure they are better equipped for their future roles in IT and networking.
