Why this UMTS course?
As well as providing a comprehensive technical overview of UMTS functions, structure and operation, this unique course covers:
- Transmission planning and traffic.
- UMTS planning.
- Evolution of UMTS towards High Speed Packet Access (HSPA).
As many architectural concepts of UMTS are based on GSM and GPRS, such as the security architecture, the physical, logical and transport channels, the course assumes some familiarity with GSM and GPRS and their radio channels. No background in UMTS is assumed.
All delegates receive a course book containing all slides used together with accompanying notes and a list of telecommunications acronyms. The courseware is also available electronically as a searchable pdf file.
