Why this Wireless course?
This unique, fast-track course has been designed to meet the needs of staff wanting a broad understanding of a range of modern wireless communications systems and networks. This course is **MODULAR** - you can attend whichever days you like - to meet you exact needs. The course provides a solid understanding of:
- Wireless networks, technologies and protocols.
- A comprehensive, vendor-neutral coverage of wireless solutions and supporting technologies.
- Radio Frequency (RF) and microwave fundamentals
- Basic Antennas and MIMO Techniques
- Basics of RF Planning
- GSM, GPRS, EDGE
- UMTS, HSPA, HSPA+ (3G)
- LTE, LTE Advanced
- WiMAX & WiMAX2
- TETRA trunk mobile networks
- Wi-Fi Wireless LANs
- Bluetooth
- ZigBee
- RFID and Near Field Communications
- Satellite Communications
- Wireless Systems Security.
Delegates learn how radio communications works, and examine the challenges and new developments in fundamental wireless technologies.
The course is very modular as not all sets of delegates attending are interested in all the topics listed above, e.g. TETRA is of great interest to some delegates and of zero interest to others. If a topic is of zero interest to everybody on a particular running of the course then the topic is dropped.
Therefore for the last part of the course, following the basics of radio and cellular systems, the set of topics covered is tailored to the needs of each set of delegates dynamically.
